For those seeking guidance and support throughout the internship search process, the Career Strategies and Engagement Center (CSE) works with students to align career goals and skill sets with internship opportunities around the world. To help students get started with applying for internships, we asked Career Strategies Director Julie Miller the following question: When am I eligible to do an internship as a student at Brandeis International Business School?
The answer to this question may be different from one student to the next. Here’s a quick guide to help!
Part 1: Confirming Eligibility
- Ask your Program Advisor to confirm when you’ll be eligible to do an internship (see Who is my Academic Advisor?)
- If you’re an international student and have additional questions about internship eligibility, ask your ISSO advisor (see Who is my Brandeis ISSO advisor?) and become familiar with the CPT (Curricular Practical Training) process
Part 2: Plan Your Internship Search Strategy
- Meet with your Career Coach to plan your internship search strategy. Make an appointment with your designated career coach through our site.
Great planning can help ensure a great internship experience!
