Chisomo Billy

Education: Chisomo (He/Him/His) is a first year student at The Heller School of Social Policy and Management where he is pursuing a Master of Arts in Sustainable International Development. Previously, Chisomo obtained a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Wheaton College MA in 2018, and a Master’s Degree in International Economics and Finance from The Brandeis International Business School in 2019.

Work History: Currently, Chisomo works part-time as a Junior Career Captain for the Business School’s Career Strategies and Engagement Center where he helps students navigate and utilize resources to prepare for their career. Additionally, Chisomo works for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at D-Lab as a research intern where he is studying and documenting different types of participatory design and the factors that companies consider when choosing one factor over another. Previously, Chisomo worked for Boston Direct Inc., where he was responsible for training entry level employees on basic sales and marketing skills needed to succeed in a marketing and advertising industry.

Extracurriculars & Hobbies: Outside of the Classroom, Chisomo is a Junior Career Captain at the CSE. During the 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge, he moderated the CSE event where the speaker, Toby Egbuna (CEO and Founder of Chezie) talked about Equity in the workplace. Chisomo is a member of Brandeis University African Forum. He loves watching and playing soccer. He also likes to drink tea.
