StoneTurn is seeking a qualified Consultant to join our Economic Damages practice in Dallas.
Job Summary
In this role you will be responsible for financial and economic analyses utilizing various tools to estimate potential economic/financial damages. This position requires you to be a person with strong interpersonal, communication, analytical/modeling, and prioritization skills. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in financial dispute consulting within the litigation environment.
Responsibilities
- Understand and incorporate client needs and objectives into work plans and work product
- Ability to gather, organize, understand, analyze and summarize qualitative and quantitative data
- Read, understand, interpret financial statements and perform financial analyses
- Perform analysis on data, including regression analysis
- Build complex damage models, utilizing a variety of tools including Excel
- Perform economic and statistical analysis relating to expert reports in a variety of complex litigation matters
- Organize, manipulate and analyze large and/or unstructured datasets utilizing statistical software (SAS, R)
- Compile and analyze facts and circumstances to formulate, substantiate and critique various damages theories, claims or conclusions
- Develop and communicate work product, both orally and in writing to management
- Assist in drafting written expert reports noting findings including, but not limited to preparation of tables, exhibits and charts
- Assist with engagement management administration, including budgeting, billing and conflict checks
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal firm executives
- Perform quality control review for Interns assisting with the performance of gathering, organizing and understanding supporting documentation
- Mentor and develop Interns
Required qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in economics, statistics, accounting, or finance
- CPA in process/eligibility, or advanced degree business
- One to three years of strong experience in professional services, financial modeling, and data analytics
- Strong analytical, technical and interpersonal skills, including financial modeling and excel skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Excellent prioritization skills with commitment to exemplary client service delivery
- Must be flexible with work schedule and travel requirements of client service projects
Desirable qualifications
- Forensic certifications such as CFF or CFE is a plus
- MBA, ASA, and/or CFA, a plus
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, R, SAS is a plus
- Client service experience preferred, national consulting firm experience is a plus
- Network of relationships within law firms and corporate legal departments
- Foreign language capabilities are a plus
