Career Decision-Making | Spencer Sherman '83

**This event is open to all Brandeis students, including undergraduates, GSAS, and Heller.

When it comes to your career, what does success mean to you? Do you measure success in terms of money, happiness, or freedom to pursue your passions? The CSE invites all students to join our CSE Summer Career Intensive on Wednesday, June 23rd as we welcome Spencer Sherman ’83 for an interactive conversation about the obvious and not-so-obvious factors that lead to wise career decisions.

After earning his BA in Economics from Brandeis University and his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Spencer discovered that the secret to creating success and joy with our work lives is the cultivation of emotional intelligence and a resilient mind. He harnessed his 35-year meditation practice to transform financial anxiety and avoidance into wisdom and engagement, and was the founding CEO of Abacus, a sustainable financial advisory firm which has grown to manage over $4 billion in assets. Spencer is the author of The Cure for Money Madness (Random House) and the Money and Spirit Workshop (Sounds True). He also teaches for the Inner MBA program (New York University and Sounds True). And now Spencer is here to share his insights with us! We hope you will join the CSE and Spencer Sherman on June 23rd and walk away with more clarity on your career goals and what success means to you.
