How does the 2024 Mentor Program Series work?
The Mentor Program Series consists of 3 parts:
- “Maximizing Mentorship” virtual workshop with Geri Brehm (optional): In this virtual workshop, CSE’s Career Coach Geri Brehm reviews tips and best practices for successful and fulfilling mentorship experiences. Workshop topics include: What is a mentor? How do I ask for mentorship? What are my goals for mentorship? How do I stay organized as I communicate with mentors? The Maximizing Mentorship workshop will be recorded for students unable to attend.
- 2024 Mentor Program Series virtual introductory events – attend one or more: Four virtual events held in February and March 2024 introduce student mentees to alumni mentors for virtual small-group conversations about navigating career strategy in four general career fields: Consulting; Finance (including general finance and real estate); Data Analytics, and Marketing/Brand/Product/Project Management. These events will not be recorded. See details below
- 1:1 mentor/mentee conversations – schedule one or more throughout 2024: Students and alumni mentors have 1:1 mentorship conversations, virtually or in-person, scheduled at one or more mutually convenient times throughout the remainder of 2024. Student mentee contacts one or more alumni mentor(s) throughout 2024 to schedule
