Business Analyst Intern – Summer 2023

Key Role Details

  • This is a full-time paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2023.
  • Participation in the internship program requires that you are located in the continental United States for the duration of the program.
  • Interns will be evaluated for a full-time position within our rotational programs, with start dates six months to one year following the completion of the internship.

At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or higher with an expectation that degree will be obtained by August 2024 or earlier
  • Must be returning to the course of study following completion of the internship

Business Analyst Internship – 2023

As an intern in the Analyst Intern Program (AIP),

you’ll apply your strategic and analytical skills to impactful challenges that drive company growth—like launching new credit card and technology-driven products, crafting our marketing and digital strategy, and analyzing the business impacts of credit approval and real-time fraud detection, just to name a few. You’ll have the opportunity to grow and explore, while being mentored by senior leaders.

Whether you want to develop your strategic business acumen or refine your technical skills through coding and modeling, this experience will help launch your career journey. With the strong business foundation and supportive cohort of peers and leaders you’ll gain as an AIP intern, the career possibilities are endless.

  • Build your business acumen. Develop strategic problem-solving, quantitative analytics and communication skills. Armed with our best-in-class analytical practices, you’ll partner across teams to create new solutions to major challenges.
  • Act as an owner. Be a key decision maker and business owner, driving recommendations, implementing solutions and realizing your impact, all while collaborating with senior leaders across product, tech, sales, operations, design, data science, engineering and finance.
  • Reimagine banking. Use information, data, analytics, ingenuity and empathy in innovative ways to deliver technology-driven solutions for our customers.
  • Be a change agent. Help people improve their relationship with their money. Transform the communities we serve through financial inclusion—helping to identify the right products for the right customers, assessing risks and optimizing our lending practices.
  • Find answers. Develop hypotheses and set up your own analytical frameworks to test for the best solutions. Scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and monitor the success of new initiatives.
  • Build and grow your network. Establish an impactful network of peers, leaders and mentors who will help you develop a clear and a vision for your career.
  • Prioritize your wellbeing. Create your definition of balance through flexible hours, locations, resources and benefits, while working in an environment that emphasizes creativity, collaboration, innovation and fun.
