The Manager Consumer and Market Insights will champion insights and analytics for the Gerber Infant Formula and VMS category for the Commercial teams. Leads and proactively identifies key performance measures (KPIs) reports success metrics and the development of insights that identify challenges and opportunities for the business both in-store and out-of-store. Actively participates in planning efforts by becoming the resident subject matter expert providing unbiased, objective data analysis to address critical business issues supporting strategic decision making for the organization.
Will leverage multiple data sources including syndicated data from IRI, internal sales data and consumer insights data to: 1) Support commercial team in evaluating and forecasting product performance 2) Report business performance and projections to Senior Leadership 3) Manages and executes custom research projects for IF & VMS and present the voice of consumers and Health Care Professionals 4) Brings thought leadership by monitor industry trends and leveraging external resources.
•Proactively develops and leads monthly sales reporting and business reviews process for all Gerber Infant Formula and VMS retail categories hosting the Commercial Team and Senior Leadership through this process
•Identify key shipment, consumption trends and drivers, as well as new item performance
•Completes monthly reporting package with KPI dashboards for Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Infant Leadership Teams
•Ensures that data providers, research vendors as well as syndicated suppliers, remain focus on relevant priorities, accurate understanding of the business issues. Monitors the delivery of process and service improvements and maintain high quality actionable reporting to meet business needs of IF & VMS
•Support IF & VMS marketing team to manage market research projects: writing research brief, communicate research objectives, identify deliverables, collaborate on methodology development, review questionnaires to ensure that all business objectives are addressed, test online surveys and ensure accuracy and completeness of all deliverables
•Plays the role of in-house consultant in understanding consumers & HCPs, business needs, designing and implementing appropriate analytical & research solutions. Develop and lead Trade & Business Reviews and share best practices by leveraging post promotion tools and sharing with the Commercial Team. Monitor both every day and promotional pricing strategies to ensure compliance to the Playbook
•Generate insights that help deliver strategic and actionable solutions based on identifying challenges and opportunities on Gerber Infant Formula and VMS business. Will also partner with the commercial team to deeply evaluate any current and potentially future Infant Formula WIC contracts
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
•5 years business experience, of which- 2 years include analytic experience: i.e. Nielsen/IRI Client Service or HQ Analytic Support contact for Marketing or Sales in either an Analytic and/or Category Management role
•Experience developing and hosting presentations that are clear, concise, and appropriate for high level audiences and presenting in front of senior leaders.
• Experience working and thriving within fast-paced environment
• Experience with Nielsen/IRI Advanced Analytics and demonstrated ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
• Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and develop actionable recommendations from disparate data sources
• Experience working with and Advanced skills with Excel, Power Point, and Word, Outlook
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Master’s/MBA degree a plus
