Searching for a Summer 2026 Internship?

Have you applied for summer 2026 internships yet? If not, I encourage you to start today. While you’ve missed the deadlines for some finance, consulting and tech roles at larger firms, there are still plenty of active opportunities out there with more going live each week. You’re not too late to secure a great internship, but don’t delay your search any longer!

Some of you might be overwhelmed and not know where to start. To that, I say the CSE Newsletter! Don’t sleep on this amazing resource that hits your inbox every Thursday night.

You can also check out The CSE Guide to Summer Internship Recruiting on CSE Connect for helpful tips and advice.

I repost good internship opportunities on LinkedIn. Search the #cserecommended hashtag on LinkedIn to see those all in one place and feel free to follow me.

The CSE also uses the CSE Recommended label on Handshake to call out positions we think our students might like as well. If you haven’t already, start searching Handshake using the following labels:

  • CSE Recommended: Roles the CSE didn’t post directly, but we still think are strong opportunities and worth taking a closer look
  • CSE Posted: Roles the CSE identified as good opportunities and posted directly
  • CSE Connection: Roles the CSE has a special connection to – for example, the company created an internship just for Brandeis students, specifically requested Brandeis students apply or asked for a resume bundle

Networking is also a great tool to learn about different opportunities. Identify companies or roles that sound interesting to you and do an alumni search on both the Brandeis School of Business and Economics and Brandeis University LinkedIn pages or on BConnect to find alumni at those companies/in those fields. Reach out to let them know you’re searching for internships in that space and would love to “pick their brains” (a casual way of saying you’d love to learn more about their experiences and ask for advice).

You can also reach out to second-year students, who did an internship last summer! Peer-to-peer networking is an awesome, and often overlooked, way to find out what’s worth your time and get referrals.

And, of course, your dedicated Career Coach is the very best resource to give you one-on-one help when it comes to your internship search. Make an appointment with your coach via Handshake to talk through your plan and get tailored advice.

Yes, it can be daunting to search for an internship. But you don’t want to regret not trying or not starting your search in time to land something that appeals to you. I’ve listed just a few resources above, but this certainly isn’t the only way to search for and secure an internship. However you go about it…just go about it! No time like the present to try.
