Whether you’re interested in working for an early-stage startup, a tech giant like Google or a technology consulting firm, there are many different career paths for students interested in this sector. Along with your coursework and Career Coach, Vault’s career and job guides in areas such as Information Technology, Internet and Social Media, Computer Software and Technology Consulting are excellent resources to help narrow down your search. Below is a sample of organizations who have recently hired International Business School students for positions in technology and innovation. The most common job titles were business analyst, data analyst and quantitative analyst.
As you start building your own company target list, be sure to research corresponding recruiting timelines. Large tech companies and consulting firms start recruiting in late summer and early fall, while smaller companies focus on winter and spring recruiting efforts. During the interview process for analyst positions, you can expect a mix of behavioral and technical questions.
