Jobs and internships in Business Analytics can be found throughout the year, and many MSBA students secure summer internships by the middle of the spring semester. However, if you are interested in a larger technology company or a consulting firm, applications may be due many months in advance for the following summer. The key is to start networking early and often to find jobs/internships that will offer a meaningful professional experience. Most firms will have multiple rounds of interviews, with one of the first designed to evaluate your technical skills in areas such as SQL, Python and Tableau. Most firms use virtual interview platforms like Zoom and you can expect some mix of behavioral, technical and case interview questions. To prepare for all facets of the interview process, regularly meet with your Career Coach and utilize CSE Resources such as BigInterview.
