Brush Up On New Skills Using LinkedIn Learning, Safari Books and More During Break

Students often ask us how to make the most of academic breaks. If you’re waiting around an airport this Thanksgiving or have extra down time this Winter break, consider learning a new skill (or brushing up on an old one!) to add to your resume.

Did you know that current students can access self-learning tools in areas such as Excel, R and Python via the Business Guide E-Training Tab or the Global Technology LATTE page? Below are just some of the many online training and self-help options available to you as a student:

LinkedIn Learning Sign-in
Safari Books Online

LinkedIn Learning is a great place for video classes and tutorials. Safari Books Online can be used for “how-to” manuals and other written documentation. Both LinkedIn Learning and Safari Books Online are available on and off campus using your Brandeis Login Credentials. What better way to pass the time as you wait in airport terminals or curl up on couches this holiday season?

Below is a sampling of LinkedIn Learning videos that can be accessed for your self-training needs:

Excel Essentials
Learning Python
Learning MATLAB
Learning R

And don’t forget to add any applicable skills to your resume! Make an appointment with your Career Coach for advice on best practices.
