While our 2022 Silicon Valley Virtual Industry Trek has come and gone, the insights and advice we gained from our alumni and employer hosts will stay with us long into the future.

If you’re now considering a move to the West Coast after graduation, it might be time to start exploring San Francisco and Silicon Valley. For those who have never visited the San Francisco Bay Area in person, there are many great online resources to give you a taste of all the region has to offer. We’ve compiled a few of our favorites below:

  1. The Virtual Grand City Tour: Brought to you by Gray Line of San Francisco, this free 360 virtual tour with voice over experience is a real treat. The 12-minute video covers 31 popular tourist attractions, including the Ferry Building, Union Square, Chinatown, Transamerica Pyramid, Coit Tower, Lombard Street, Alcatraz, Fisherman’s Wharf, the Golden Gate Bridge and more.
  2. San Francisco Museum of Modern Art: Visit SFMOMA’s website for a glimpse into the amazing collections and special exhibits the museum has on offer right now. Explore Architecture + Design, Contemporary Art, Film and more to embrace San Francisco’s exciting art scene.
  3. San Francisco Zoo & Gardens: Enjoy this Threshold 360 Virtual Tour of the San Francisco Zoo & Gardens produced by SF Travel. From the African Savanna Trail to Penguin Island, you can explore the zoo virtually, then check out sfzoo.org for additional content.
