The time to start looking for 2024 jobs and internships is now.
No matter if you are a new or returning student, the majority of the top consulting and finance firms have begun their search and hiring process for Summer 2024 internships and entry level jobs. Example companies include McKinsey, Deloitte, JP Morgan Chase, EY, Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse.
The earlier you can apply to roles, the better! This is also the case for select companies in other sectors, like technology and consumer goods, as well.
Start with the CSE’s Early Recruiting Resources
While this may seem daunting, particularly to those who are just entering their respective programs, do not fear! The CSE team has been working hard to make the search and application process as straightforward as possible. The best place to start is our CSE Early Recruiting Master Resource.
Connect with Your Career Coach ASAP
It is also vitally important for you to connect with your Career Coach as soon as possible to discuss your career search strategy and to make sure that your resume is up to the standard many of these companies expect. Your Career Coach will work with you to hone your interviewing skills, identify appropriate opportunities and answer any questions you may have about the search and application process moving forward.
Explore Additional Resources and Handshake Opportunities
There are plenty of other resources available to you through Handshake that can provide you with additional information and companies that may be of interest to you during your search for jobs and internships. Your first stops should be Vault and Workmaze. As always, spend some time each week on the job postings page on Handshake to see what new opportunities are coming through! Remember, any job posting with the label “CSE Connection” means it is an opportunity that we have curated and connected with individuals within the company to maximize the chances of you proceeding in their hiring and interview process.
Work with the CSE
This will be a team effort if you have hopes of securing an early recruiting opportunity. We will do our best to make sure you are prepared to apply to the positions that appeal to you and that you are aware of as many of these openings as possible. On your end, ensure that you are doing your own research and job search for opportunities that are in line with your career goals after graduation. Staying up to date with the CSE calendar of events, resume and cover letter assignments, and simply getting to know our office will vastly improve your chances of moving forward in a company’s early recruiting process.
As always, if you have any questions regarding jobs and internships, reaching out to your career coach or emailing globalcareers@brandeis.edu is a great place to start. Happy job hunting!
