Company Background:
Boston Language Hub is an educational organization that provides foreign language instruction to adults and teens aged 15 years or older, as well as cultural training and translation services for individuals and corporations. We currently offer group classes, private lessons, and workshops in nearly a dozen languages: French, German, Greek, Haitian Creole, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Our goal is to help all language learners to become fluent in their target language regardless of their motivation. We currently host most of our classes online via Zoom, but we hope to find a physical location in the Greater Boston area within the next 6 months to begin offering in-person group classes.
Marketing and Social Media Internship:
We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing and Social Media Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will play an important role in promoting our language services and building our online presence through social media, email marketing, and other digital channels. You will be responsible for making daily social media posts, answering email inquiries, setting up automations, and supporting other marketing initiatives as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Create and schedule daily social media posts across various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
- Monitor and respond to email inquiries in a timely manner
- Assist with setting up automations and workflows in Constant Contact
- Conduct research and analysis to support marketing and SEO efforts
- Collaborate with program director to develop and execute marketing campaigns
- Assist with other marketing and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Some experience in social media marketing and content creation
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Creativity and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with Wix, Google Analytics, Constant Contact, and/or SEO tools is a plus
- Fluency in a second language or experience in language education is also ideal, though not necessary
This is a part-time, unpaid internship that can be performed remotely. We are looking for someone who can commit to at least 10-15 hours per week for the entirety of the Spring semester and potentially beyond. College credit is available. Students interested in the possibility of a Brandeis-sponsored stipend should speak with their academic advisor regarding potential funding opportunities.
